Sac City Central Kitchen Tour

Join us before the conference to tour the newest central kitchen in the area. "The Central Kitchen's mission is to provide healthy, sustainable, fresh, and local food to all schoolchildren in Sacramento City School District. With a state-of-the-art kitchen, the Central Kitchen will serve over 30,000 meals per day at full capacity, spanning students across PreK-12 grades."  The tour will also feature a trip to Fiery Ginger Farm, a 2-acre urban farm in the heart of West Sacramento. They partner with local schools to provide fresh produce, support for school gardens, and offer hands-on educational opportunities to students of all ages.

Participation is capped at 60 participants with two tours of 30 each. While one group is at The Central Kitchen, the other group will be touring Fiery Ginger Farm.

You will end your tour on your own in Old Sacramento. With Gold Rush-era buildings, cobblestone streets, and horse-drawn carriages, this historic riverfront district is home to numerous museums, Souvenir shops, and several restaurants. Old Sacramento is just 1 mile from the conference hotel, allowing you to stretch your legs and explore the area.
