GRANT OPPORTUNITY
The Silent Hero Grant
Program (SHGP) was created with the idea of making it easier for school
foodservice professionals to serve breakfast to all students within a
district. It is a cooperative venture of several foodservice vendors and

CA Budget
Alert:
The Budget was
approved by the Legislature and signed by the Governor. Prop. 98 K-12 funding was fully funded except for COLA,
costing schools $2.9 billion. We still have the problem created
by CDE’s low estimate of meals to be served, creating a for
certain reduction in reimbursements for the last fiscal quarter
of 2009, much like the last quarter of 2008 (May and June 2008). |
